Summer is really here now and we are starting to enjoy more veg from the garden at the Steading. We have just enough broad beans to make this salad so we thought we would share it with you too! Orange radish kiwi salad
There’s really nothing to this salad other than a delightful combination of unusual ingredients. We put this together for a lunch to compliment another salad and it did jus that! Freshness and a great colour burst to lift your table. …
Toasted nuts and seeds
Toasted seeds and nuts are great as a crunchy, healthy addition to salads and soups. They take no time to make and keep well so make a jar at a time. We really enjoy them sprinkled in our salads in Summer – they bring the whole thing to life and give a wee boost of protein!…

The first radishes are up in the garden at the Steading so this is a little homage to the humble radish! Excellent as part of a spring or summer lunch or an interesting accompaniment to a main dish. Fresh, clean and healthy. …

The flavour may at first appear strong, but is easily tempered with other flavours. Serve with pasta or in a pancake or on a piece of toast!…
