Woohoo!! Another great and easy way to use up that glut of courgettes….Courgette and chick pea oven baked roll ups are lovely with some salads for a light lunch. We made this recipe with spinach last year and gave it a try with courgettes and it really is delicious. We hope you like it too!…

Chocolate Orange Cake
At this time of year it feels like the Spring birthdays and celebrations are in full swing but that the season is yet to catch up with us! There’s so little growing in the ground that we go back to the store cupboard for ideas – like this easy chocolate orange cake. It’s quick to whip up from some store cupboard ingredients and a juicy orange. We enjoyed this as a Mother’s Day cake but it’s perfect for a weekend treat for the family or with a coffee in the afternoon! We can never have enough cake, obviously, and this classic combination works really beautifully….
Sticky Toffee Date Cake
Olive, Walnut and Sundried Tomato Muffin
This is our latest favourite top speed soup accompaniment. Mediterranean olives, walnuts and sun dried tomatoes make this version of our savoury gluten free muffins super tasty! Whip them up and serve warm from the oven with soup or as a yummy snack. A great alternative to bread. …
Nutty Fruit Cake
Our friend Ruth gave us the original idea for this Christmassy treat – with a bit of tweaking we’ve made it gluten free and sugar free, although there is technically sugar in candied peel and glacé cherries – you can just omit these if you like – it will still work very nicely! It’s not really a cake – more of a nutty fruity slab ! Which means it’s quite solid – ( in a good way! )…
Tapas Time! Tortilla
Tortilla or Spanish Omelette is perhaps the most known tapas dish outside of Spain, but these days doesn’t feature so much on the tapas menus in a new wave of fancy restaurants and bars serving this ever popular cuisine. We thought we’d give a little tribute to the lovely tortilla even so, and hope you’ll enjoy making it! It’s easy, but you need to be careful not to burn the base whilst it cooks. Serve with lots of fresh parsley and preferably some Sun!!…
carrot and orange cake
This is a special recipe from our friend David – yoga teacher and fellow food enthusiast! He gave us this recipe in a slightly more conventional form with ordinary wheat flour and we did some serious adapting and came up with this! It’s a gorgeous orange colour, and great for afternoon tea so why not set aside a couple of hours and invite your friends to tea!…
Apricot, raspberry & orange cake
This cake started life as an orange and almond cake and has been transformed into something a little more seasonal with the addition of apricots and raspberries. It’s an upside down cake, with the fruit cooking on the bottom, so it works best with a spring form cake tin. Deliciously moist, fat and flour free, you’re ticking the boxes for gluten and dairy free with this one. It makes a lovely end to a meal with friends. …
